There
are approximately 30 Clubs in the Palmetto Region sanctioned under
the USA Junior Olympic program offering girls the opportunity to
play volleyball after their high school season.
Clubs
are formed by individuals interested in providing girls from ages
8 to 19 an increased knowledge of the sport, additional training,
and very competitive tournament play.
Clubs
do vary in cost, size, organization, intensity, philosophy, and
coaching! The season usually runs from late November until April
or May. Some clubs will continue with their top teams up to the
National tournaments, which is in early July.
Players
will usually be placed on a team based on their age and skill level.
Most tournaments offer two levels of play, in addition to 6 to 7
age groups (12's, 13's, 14's, 15's, 16's, 17's & 18's) so girls
compete against each other in their same age and skill level.

Talk
with any of our players and you will feel the excitement in their
voice. Most girls find the Junior season the most rewarding part
of their volleyball memories.
Find
one of our players who has attended a National tournament and you
find someone committed to club ball. Just the thrill of walking
into the convention center with 50+ courts set up under one roof
is breath-taking. To witness 700+ teams from all over the country
competing. You will see girls as young as 9 in the 12 and under
division, up to the top national teams competing for a bid to the
Nationals.

Parents
are an essential part of a Junior program, from support to transportation.
We offer athletes this opportunity at the lowest cost possible.
Fund-raising and sponsorships are always needed to keep fees to
a minimum, parents play a big part in helping.
You
will need a Tournament Survival Kit: alarm clock for those 6:00
am departures; chairs for gyms with too little seating, bleacher
seats for buns; food, food, and more food for constantly hungry
athletes, video camera and extra battery, a bunch of Gatorade Sport
bottles, an I-pod or books for killing time between matches, a good
map, and a nerve pill for those close matches!
